When it comes to wedding photography, few venues offer anything as close to unique as the Matara Centre – a wonderful mix of colonial chic, Buddhist themes and traditional Cotswold beauty permeate throughout this delightful Gloucestershire wedding venue.
As a Gloucestershire wedding photographer, this was my fifth visit here and I was really looking forward to shooting later on in the season, trading in the warm and light summer evenings for the magical autumn colours the Matara Centre seemed to revel in.
Ben and Rosie had first met me about a year or so ago in the pub across the road and it was then that they went through what they were looking for in a wedding photographer. I was able too to share with them my experiences of shooting at the Matara and after a short walk around the venue itself, they’d decided I was their man. Job done.
The wedding day itself turned out to be such fun and after a typically cold and choppy November morning, things brightened up considerably. So much so that were able to venture outside to use the Matara Centre gardens to their full, magical effect. Ben and Rosie were such a charming, courteous couple that put their complete trust in me and I’m delighted for them that it paid off and that we got the pictures we were all hoping for.
Here is a selection of shots from the day. And don’t forget that if you happen to be looking for a Matara Centre wedding photographer for your wedding who knows the place like the back of his hand and absolutely loves shooting there then look no further!
