2016 was another amazing year for me and Stylish Wedding Photography. Forty six days shared with wonderful people on their very special wedding day. Those weddings took me all over Surrey and Hampshire to some of my regular venues like Froyle Park and Farnham Castle but also to totally new venues like Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds and Dillington House in Somerset. It’s always lovely shooting somewhere for the first time, as it’s all new and different, so makes us even more creative I always think.
I spent much of the year further developing the style of my images, which more and more is pure observational candid. I still like to take my couples for some posed pictures during the drinks reception, but never for very long. I’d much rather capture natural images of them enjoying their wedding day with their family and friends. The hugs, the laughter, the love. These are the things that I enjoy photographing on a couples wedding day, because they are unique to every couple.
