The Brompton Oratory is a surprisingly intimate church, given it’s size. On a summer’s day, the midday sun stretches inside and spotlights the crossing like a theatre. Friends and family melt away while newlyweds shine.
After their marriage, Bertie & Charlie emerged from the Oratory Church in true style, flanked by immaculately turned out groomsmen in uniform, swords drawn. Passing tourists and well wishers must have thought a member of the royal family was tying the knot! A borrowed red sports car made a cameo appearance in the group photos before the couple raced off to the Savile Club. We snuck away for a few quiet shots in Grosvenor Square while the guests caught up in their double decker bus.
Beaming faces were not hard to come by at the reception. The warmth Bertie & Charlie have for each other and their guests made happy pictures a breeze. Bertie’s actor brother, Harry, performed a delightful best man’s speech on the grand staircase of the Savile Club that left a lot of people in stitches.
The cake was decorated by a crown of threaded lavender. Simple and so lovely, then sliced up by a sabre. After the delicious meal, some digested quietly while others burned off a few calories on the dance floor. The band played real crowd pleasers and sustained an enthusiastic crowd all evening. A feast to photograph!
